Vampire Academy

I haven't started a new book yet, still rereading the Lux series, I have about 5 chapters left.
Even though I haven't started anything yet, I'll talk to you about Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.
I must begin by saying that Vampire Academy (VA) is my favorite series of all time - love it more than Harry Potter, and I love HP,  people who know me can attest to that.
I plan to do a talk about each book of the series, because I already know them by heart and I love each and every one.
I refuse to  believe that there are people out there who have not yet read VA, so I intend to talk about this book with spoilers and all :D.
If you are one of the unfortunate, that has not yet read the series DO NOT READ THIS POST, GO READ THE BOOK.
That being said, let's get to the fun part, and talk about VA.
Hmm ..... VA starts of a little odd, for me, with Rose dreaming Lisa's dream, but it picks up from there.
By the time we meet Dimitri, it's impossible to let the book down.
Richelle Mead takes us in a world full of vampires. Basing her novels on a Romanian myth, about three types of vampires, the Moroi, the Strigoi and the Dhampires.
The Moroi are living vampires that need blood to survive, but do not kill to obtain it. They can use magic and are able to control the elements - earth,  water,  air, fire and an other element that has been long forgotten .... spirit.
The Strigoi are dead vampires that kill to survive,  and for them the Moroi are especially tasty. The Strigoi are made not born. They can be made by choice or by force.  A Moroi can choose to become a Strigoi by willingly killing there victim while feeding. Also any Moroi, Dhampire or human can be made a  Strigoi by force, this happens when a other strigoi feeds on a victim to the point of death and then feeds them back his own blood. Strigoi are vicious and cruel,  they poses immortality and incredible straight,  becoming more and more powerful as they age and as they consume more Moroi blood.
Last but not least the Dhampires are the half vampires, children of Moroi and humans or Moroi and other Dhampires.  They can not have children of there own, being able to reproduce only with the Moroi. They are trained bodyguards for the Moroi,  seeing as their species are so closely linked.

The book follows the life of teenage Dhampire girl Rosemarie Hathaway and her best friend Moroi princess and last of her name Vasilisa Dragomir.

Runaways from the people who raised them, the two girls live on a college campus trying to get past there high school graduation.

They are found and brought back to the Academy by Russian dhampire god Dimitri Belikov.

Back with the people who raised them the girls get in all kinds of trouble.  Fighting,  loving and deceiving to get what they want.

Rose of course, falls in love with Dimka, the Russian god and Lisa with the misfit with strigoi parents,  baited by everyone,  Christian Ozara.

It is a story about true friendship and love,  and the things that those two kind of feeling make us do.

Read the full series and you won't regret it,  I promise.

OPAL

Let's talk about OPAL, the third volume of the series LUX by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

First, I just want to say I'm extremely happy with how Daemon and Katy's relationship evolved up to this moment. The way Daemon's feelings gradually increase throughout this volume, building an emotional charge that can explode at any time (I'll tell you a secret .... shhhh ..... this is exactly what will happen). As you well know Daemon never tells Katy "I love you", well you will have a big surprise, the end of this volume being a true cliffhanger that makes you count the days until the next volume will be published.

Today I will not make a presentation as before, because today I am extremely upset with the two main characters. After Blake betrays them, and so many characters disappear from the pages of the book (either gone forever or victims of irreversible personality changes that will make you not recognize them anymore - all because of Blake) Daemon and Katy allow him to get back in their midst.

"Really, are you blind? Even a blind man could see that he was up to something!"

It would have been better if they would have got rid of him from the beginning

Uhhh ...... while reading I felt like diving into the pages of the book, to slap some sense into them.

I am so frustrated about it .....

Now that I got this out of my system, I will say that this is a wonderful book, full of action and moments of suspense. It contains some of the most exciting scenes I've had the pleasure to read, (reread soon, as I'm reading the series for the second time - already to volume II).

It is a book for everyone, has action, romance, funny moments and a bit of supernatural, YA perfect combination.

Counting the days until the ORIGIN the new volume will be published, August 27 come faster ....

Sa vorbim despre OPAL, al treilea volum al seriei LUX de Jennifer L. Armentrout.

In primul rand, vreau doar sa spun ca sunt extrem de multumita de modul in care relatia lui Daemon si Katy a evoluat pana in momentul de fata. Felul in care sentimentele lui Daemon cresc treptat pe parcursul acestui volum, construind o incarcatura emotionala ce poate exploda in orice moment (va voi spune un secret .... shhhh ..... chiar asta se va intampla). Cum bine stiti Daemon  nu ii spune lui Katy niciodata "Te iubesc", ei bine veti avea o surpriza de proportii, finalul acestui volum fiind un cliffhanger adevarat, care te face sa numeri zilele pana ce urmatorul volum va fi publicat.

Azi nu voi face o prezentare ca si pana acum, pentru ca azi sunt extrem de suparata pe cei doi eroi principali. Dupa ce Blake ii tradeaza si atat de multe personaje dispar din paginile cartii (fie dispar pentru totdeauna, fie sufera schimbari iremediabile de personalitate ce te vor face sa nu le mai recunosti - totul din cauza lui Blake) Daemon si Katy il lasa din nou in mijlocul lor

"Serios, sunteti orbi? Pana si un orb ar vedea ca pune ceva la cale!"

Ar fi fost mai bine daca scapau de el de la inceput

UHHH ...... in timp ce citeam imi venea sa intru in paginile cartii si ca le pleznesc cateva pana se trezesc la realitate

Sunt atat de frustrata din cauza asta .......

Acum ca mi-am scos asta din sistem, vreau sa va spun ca este o carte minunata, plina de actiune si momente de suspans. Contine unele dintre cele mai incitante scene pe care am avut placerea sa le citesc, (in curand recitesc deoarece acum citesc seria pentru a doua oara - sunt deja la volumul II).

Este o carte pentru toata lumea, cu actiune, dragoste, momente comice si un pic de supranatural, combinatia perfecta pentru YA.

Numar zilele pana cand ORIGIN, noul volum va fi publicat, 27 august vino mai repede....

I'll try to post a review tonight for OPAL, the third volume of the LUX series. Not making any promises. I admit .... I finished the book a few days ago, but I could not start writing, because I didn't resist the temptation and I started reading volume 1 of the series again .... I know I'm weird :D

Voi incerca sa postez in seara asta review-ul pentru OPAL al treilea volum al seriei LUX. Nu fac promisiuni. Recunosc .... am terminat cartea acum cateva zile insa nu m-am putut apuca de scris pentru ca nu am rezistat tentatiei si am inceput sa citesc din nou volumul 1 al seriei .... stiu sunt ciudata :D

ONYX

The second volume of the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout  takes us deeper into the alien world of the Luxens. Although we are immersed in this wonderful part of extraterrestrial life on earth, I still feel that the story told by the author revolves around the relationship between Katy and Daemon, specifically on Daemon's countless attempts to prove to the girl he obviously loves that his feelings are real.

Let's start with the characters:

In addition to Daemon and Katy the author brings us a new character that will shape the way in which the book will develop. 

Blake - he seems to be a normal teenager, cute, lovable, well-mannered and he seems to like Katy. As you noticed the essential word is "SEEMS". In reality he is just another pawn in the DOD's war machine with thoughts and hidden desires that will bring only trouble to our heroes.

I will not elaborate on what will happen in this volume and which will be the steps that Daemon will follow to convince Katy of his feelings, but I will say this:

• some friendships will fall apart, 
• friends will disappear forever 
• new relationships will be formed 
• and others almost forgotten by the world will return to life.

If you want to know more you will have to read the book :) is worth it 

Al doilea volum al seriei Lux de Jennifer L. Armentrout ne adanceste in lumea extraterestrilor numiti Luxen. Desi suntem cufundati in aceasta parte extraordinara a vietii extraterestre pe pamant, simt in continuare ca povestea spusa de autoare se invarte in jurul relatiei lui Katy cu Daemon, mai exact asupra incercarilor nenumarate ale lui Daemon de ai demonstra fetei pe care, evident o iubeste ca sentimentele lui sunt reale.

Sa incepem cu personajele:

Pe langa Daemon si Katy autoare ne aduce un nou personaj ce va modela modul de desfasurare a actiunii cartii. 

Blake - acesta pare a fi un adolescent normal, dragut simpatic si manierat si pare sa o placa pe Katy. Dupa cum ati observat cuvantul esential este "PARE". Acesta, in realitate este doar un alt pion in masina de razboi a DOD, cu ganduri si dorinte ascunse ce vor aduce doar necazuri eroilor nostri.

Nu voi elabora in legatura cu ce se va intampla in acest volum si care vor fi pasi pe care Daemon ii va urma pentru a o convinge pe Katy de sentimentele lui, insa voi spune doar atat:

• unele prietenii se vor destrama, 
• unii prieteni vor disparea pentru totdeauna, 
• noi relatii se vor forma 
• iar altii aproape uitati de lume se vor intoarce la viata.

Daca vreti sa aflati mai multe va trebui sa cititi cartea :) merita.

OBSIDIAN

OK, let's talk about the first volume of the LUX series, OBSIDIAN by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

At first I was a little disappointed, it was a complete and absolute flashback to Twilight, so similar it was downright weird. After the first 5 chapters I began to change my mind, and by the end of the book I was convinced that the two have nothing in common.

First let's talk about characters.

Katy is a character who grows beneath the reader's eyes, leaving behind the introverted teenager image. With a strong personality and an absolute stubbornness appears as an unstoppable force, all you can do is join her, defeat is not an option for her, makes me think of the saying "If you can't beat them, join them". She is a gorgeous girl but she does not know her true potential, which makes her even more appealing. Independent and in possession of her life, she is a female character that you love to see growing.

Daemon is .... as Katy says about a character in the books she reads, he is my new book boyfriend. We meet him shirtless and of course he's sexy and perfect in every way, just as stubborn as Katy, he never says sorry, is aware of his physical appearance and the effect he has on women, is very protective of all those he loves, and of course he has green eyes. The only thing I do not like at this character (and this is what the feminist in me says) is that he wants to control everything around him including Katy. Still have to be objective and admit that this feature in combination with all the other features makes him extremely sexy.

I'm not saying that the other characters are not important but I do not feel the need to say something about them. For me the story of the two (Katy and Daemon) has been the focal point of this volume.

It all begins when Katy moves to West Virginia with her mother for a new beginning away from the painful memories of her father's death. 

Things get really interesting when the young girl gets acquainted with the next door neighbors, brother and sister, twins and extraordinarily attractive.

Dee is cheerful and friendly, full of life and ardently wishes to know and to be friends with her ​​new neighbor.

Daemon on the other hand is arrogant, full of himself and especially extremely rude. Unlike his sister he does not want to have anything to do with their new neighbor and tries to push her away from his sister.

I will not go into more detail because I do not want to spoil the surprise, for more you will have to read the book, what I can say is that Jennifer L. Armentrout offers an adventure worth following and a reading that you can not let out of your hand.

I highly recommend this book and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

OK, hai sa vorbim despre OBSIDIAN primul volum din seria LUX de Jennifer L. Armentrout.

La inceput am fost putin dezamagita, aveam un complet si absolut flashback la Twilight, atat de asemanator incat era de-a dreptul ciudat. Dupa primele 5 capitole am inceput sa imi schimb parerea, iar pe la sfarsitul cartii am fost convinsa ca cele doua nu au nimic in comun.

Intai sa vorbim despre personaje.

Katy este un personaj care creste sub ochii cititorului, lasand in urma imaginea de adolescenta introvertita. Cu o personalitate puternica si o incapatanare absoluta apare ca o forta de neoprit, tot ce poti sa face este sa i te alaturi, infrangerea nu este o obtiune pentru ea, ma face sa-mi amintesc de zicala "Daca nu-i poti invinge alaturate lor". Este o fata superba care insa nu isi cunoaste adevaratul potential, ceea ce o face si mai atragatoare. Independenta si stapana pe viata ei, este un personaj feminin pe care iti face placere sa il vezi crescand.

Daemon este .... asa cu spune Katy despre unul din personajele cartilor pe care ea le citeste, este noul meu iubit din carti. Facem cunostinta cu el la bustul gol si binenteles ca e sexy si perfect in toate privintele, la fel de incapatanat ca si Katy, nu isi cere niciodata scuze, este constient de aspectul lui fizic si de efectul pe care il are asupra persoanelor de sex feminin, este foate protectiv cu toti cei pe care ii iubeste si binenteles are ochii verzi. Singurul lucru ce nu imi place la acest personaj (si asta o spune feminista din mine) este ca doreste sa controleze totul in jurul lui inclusiv pe Katy. Trebuie sa fiu obiectiva inca si sa recunosc ca aceasta caracteristica in combinatie cu toate celelalte il face extrem de sexy.

Nu spun ca celelalte personaje nu sunt importante insa nu simt nevoia sa adaug ceva despre ele. Pentru mine povestea celor doi (Katy si Daemon) a reprezentat punctul de focalizare a acestui volum.

Totul incepe cand Katy se muta in Virginia de Vest inpreuna cu mama ei pentru un nou inceput departe de amintirile dureroase al mortii tatalui ei. 

Lucrurile devin cu adevarat interesante cand tanara isi cunoaste vecinii de peste drum, frate si sora, gemeni si extraordinari de atragatori. 

Dee este vesela si prietenoasa, plina de viata si doreste cu ardoare sa isi cunoasca si sa se imprieteneasca cu noua ei vecina. 

Daemon pe de alta parte este arogant, plin de el si mai ales extrem de nepoliticos. Spre deosebire de sora lui acesta nu vrea sa aiba nimic de-a face cu noua lor vecina si incearca sa o tina departe de aceasta si pe sora lui.

Nu voi intra in mai multe detalii pentru ca nu vreau sa va stric surpriza, pentru mai mult va trebui sa cititi cartea, ce pot sa spun este ca Jennifer L. Armentrout ofera o aventura demna de urmarit si o lectura pe care nu poti sa o lasi din mana. 

Va recomand cu caldura aceasta carte si sper sa va placa la fel de mult ca si mie.

Today was a great day for cycling, I felt great with the girls, and for the perfect finishing touch to this day, when I got home I started - finally -  reading Book 3 of the  LUX series.

Azi a fost o zi minunata pentru pedalat, m-am simtit super cu fetele, iar pentru ca aceasta zi sa se incheie perfect cand am ajuns acasa am inceput - in sfarsit - sa citesc volumul 3 al seriei LUX.

......

Partying late and reading do not mix with each other, so I have not started the last volume of the series Lux .... I should be ashamed: D

Chefurile tarzii si cititul nu se impaca unul cu celalalt, asa ca inca nu am inceput ultimul volum din seria Lux .... sa imi fie rusine :D

Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Right now I am starting the third volume of the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, I loved the first two books, Daemon is a great character, impossible not to fall in love with him.
After I'll finish reading the third volume, I'll have more to say and I'm sure all will be good.

Chiar acum incep sa citesc al treilea volum din seria Lux de  Jennifer L. Armentrout. Primele doua volume mi-au placut foarte mult, iar Daemon este un personaj incantator, iti este imposibil sa nu te indragostesti de el.
Dupa ce voi termina de citit si al treilea volum, o sa am mai multe de spus si sunt sigura ca toate vor fi de bine.

O mica intraducere ....

Sunt Corina si am o mica obsesie pentru carti. Este primul meu blog asa ca va rog sa fiti rabdatori cu mine, vreau sa impart cu intreaga lume dragostea mea pentru cartile Young Adult (YA).
